Request context
Know who is calling, and which app it is, without building sign-in.
What it does
Every request your app receives carries a signed note from the platform: who is calling and which app this is. Your app can trust it because it is signed, and does not need its own login or user table to tell people apart.
How you use it
- Read it with context(request) from @cohostly/sdk, or use the middleware.
- In the manifest, context.preset says how much you want: none, basic, friendly or full.
- Personal details such as a name or email are only included when the person has agreed.
When it is worth it
When your app has its own login, passwords or user accounts. For most small shared tools the platform already knows who is using it.
