Data binding
A database that comes with the project.
What it does
The platform can give each project its own managed database, with migrations, so you do not have to run, secure and back up one yourself. The app reaches it at the address in DATA_URL.
How you use it
- Turn it on in the manifest under bindings.data.
- Keep your migrations in the project; the platform applies them when you deploy.
When it is worth it
When your app connects to a database you host yourself, with your own credentials.
